Be Lotus

“The lotus flower blooms most beautifully from the deepest and thickest mud.”

My Lotus is a flower sitting on a body made up from sticky pond mud, carrying jars filled with wet soil samples, a frog sidekick resting in its palm wisely picking direction. Together they migrate from swamp to swamp, gaining wisdom and overcoming life’s obstacles, and continuing to grow.

The ink and watercolor original was created on A3 paper (I used some murky high granulation paints to create that extra rusty feel here and there), plus digital AFs.
